Welcome to Stitch in Time Tailoring

My background in sewing is extensive. I learned to sew in junior high school in sewing class and read every book on the subject I could get my hands on. After high school, I took various classes at the Rhode Island School of Design at night. I opened a small alteration/dressmaking business in my town and had great success for ten years. During that time, I attended a class at the Master Seamstress Program at University of Rhode Island. I presently do alterations, which includes everyday clothing, costumes, crafts, home furnishings and doll clothes. I have designed personal costumes for Civil War reenactments, King Richard’s Fair and Halloween. I own my own commercial and home sewing equipment.
